It’s Easy to Be Green!
The first Once Upon A Child store was opened in Ohio in 1984. The inspiration behind the business was the entrepreneurs’ three growing boys – and the growing number of still-useful items overflowing their closets, dresser drawers, and boxes in the basement and garage that they wanted to recycle.
The initial concept was simple: Create a fun, efficient, and convenient way for parents like themselves to recycle items that were in great condition but that their kids had outgrown. Their friends and neighbors soon discovered this to be a great way to outfit their kids in stylish duds, age appropriate toys and equipment at affordable prices.
This simple-yet-powerful resale retail concept makes great sense to people everywhere, which is why there are now over 230 Once Upon A Child franchise locations throughout North America. Click here for more information on owning a Once Upon A Child franchise.
